The B.C. Thunder swept their two-game road trip to Vancouver Island, and moved atop the league standings.

Friday night in Victoria, Evan Rodger and Kyla Gillespie scored in the last four minutes of play to lift the Thunder to a 4-3 win over the Victoria Phantoms. Rodge netted two goals in the game, with Brittany Laing adding one.

Christina Butler, Courtney McMurchy and Robyn Horner were the scorers for the Phantoms, who led 3-2 after two periods.

Four goals in a 10-minute span in the second period powered the Thunder to a 6-2 win over the Mid-Island Hawks Saturday in Nanaimo. Emily Muir had the hat trick, with Claire Manifold, Sarah Forster and Gillespie netting one each.

Tessa Lawson and Kourtney Langlois replied for the Hawks.

In Kamloops, the Delta Jets took three of four points from the host Vibe. Justine Oye, Chandra Frederickson and Amanda Woo were the Delta goal scorers in a 3-3 tie Saturday night. Jenna Ormondy with two, and Gaylene Smith had the Kamloops goals.

Kristle Beaudry had the shutout, and goals came from Sara Carlisle and Oye in a 2-0 Jets win Sunday morning.

The Richmond Devils were on both ends of shutouts last weekend. Carly Millman and Nicole Lim netted the goals, and Katie Anderson recorded the shutout in a 2-0 win over Simon Fraser University Friday night in North Surrey.

Saturday at at the Richmond Ice Centre, a shutout from Brittany Kwasny led the Killarney Knights to a 5-0 victory. Goals came from Dianne Sampogna with two, Kate Murie, Erin Smith and Amber Ellis.

  Emily Muir of the B.C. Thunder is the SCFAHL Player of the Week for Oct. 1-3. Muir scored three goals and assisted on a fourth in a 6-2 win over the Mid-Island Hawks Saturday in Nanaimo.

Runner-up was Jenna Ormody of the Kamloops Vibe, who netted a pair of goals in a 3-3 tie with the Delta Jets Saturday night in Kamloops.

Melissa Jordan of the Mid-Island hawks took the Player of the Week honours in Week One, scoring twice in a 4-3 loss to the Victoria Phantoms, then netting the winner in a 2-0 Hawks win over the Phantoms in Parksville a day later.

Asia Robinson of the Richmond Devils was the runner-up, netting a goal and an assist in a 4-4 draw with the Delta Jets.
