Before Starting the tutorial, it may be helpful to understand the way the
leagues are structured.
Below is an illustration of a typical league. The league is made up of
seasons, and each season has teams, a schedule, and stats associated with it.
Each year may have many seasons: pre-season exhibition games,
regular season, and playoffs. There is no limit to the number of seasons
that can be created, although only the current season will be displayed on the
web site. Past seasons can be accessed on the web site through the
Archives menu item.
Teams initially belong to one season only, but they can be imported into new
seasons to save the effort of re-entering all the information. Players are
assigned to teams and remain in a player address book.
Managing Multiple Leagues
If you are administering multiple leagues, you can switch between them by
selecting "Choose Another League" from the "Administrative Options" menu at the
bottom of the page. A list of leagues that you have administrator access
to are displayed, allowing you to click on the league you would like to switch
to, so you do not have to log out and log in again. The "Choose Another
League" option is only visible if you are registered as the administrator, with
the same username and password, in more than one league. You can also
transfer teams and team rosters from one league to another, which is described
in the "Teams" section of the tutorial under "Importing Teams".
If this is a bit too much information to start out with, don't worry.
